Application Details
Description

Beech (T1) - Located in the wooded area behind the car park. This mature tree has a significant amount of decay up the main stem with a large proportion of the structural timber and heartwood missing or severely rotten. There is a secondary cavity further up the main stem which can be directly linked to the one on the main stem as a visual marker to the extent of where the decay has spread to. As with the Lime, based on its vast crown spread and overall size this tree to needs to be removed to mitigate the "extremely high risk" it currently poses to personnel and property on both the grounds and into the neighbouring properties. Lime (T2) - Lime: Located in the wooded area behind the car park. This tree has a lot of significant issues all at once. The main stem has been strangled (probably by wire) which has lead to a host of other issues one of which resulting in the main stem being significantly decayed along with another two previous limbs now forming cavities by the two main living unions where there is a noticeable split and decay pathway. This tree poses a very significant risk to personnel and property based on its over all size and weight the damage would be catastrophic . This dangerous tree should be removed immediately.
