For general agricultural storage of tractor, machinery and equipment, hay and silage storage, and as a workshop for machinery The proposed agricultural building has been designed specifically for its agricultural purpose and is of a proportionate size for the needs of the farm holding, and the storage of hay and silage produced on the land, and machinery that is required to be stored within. The farm currently has only one existing building that can be used for agricultural purposes, which is being used for feed storage, lambing and brooding pens. The building that was originally erected for the storage of farm machinery and general storage (under reference RR/2004/3114/FN) is now in use as a boutique hotel following its prior approval for such use (under reference RR/2018/1447/P). The site therefore does not have any appropriate buildings suitable for modern storage requirements, so there is a distinct need for secure and weatherproof storage of machinery and equipment as well as an area to store silage and hay. The building will also offer a small agricultural machinery workshop space.
