Oak (Quercus) adjacent garages - Using a mobile elevated work platform, sectionally dismantle in a carefully controlled manner to ground level and grind out stump to 250mm below ground level where achievable. As per sonic tomography report - The ArborSonic test indicates the tree is at low risk of failure just above ground level, but the presence of Kretzschmaria deusta increases the potential for undetected failure due to loss of tensile wood strength just below the surface. The tree is relatively well sheltered but has numerous human targets within falling distance. It is considered that crown reduction may reduce the risk associated with the tree to an acceptable level in the short term, but this will also have an impact on the tree?s ability to react to the fungal infection, and the long-term prognosis for the stability of the tree is of increasingly unacceptable risk.
