T1 - Oak (Quercus) - Carry out a canopy reduction by 6m to retain regrowth in the centre of tree to lessen weight on limb frame work. Reasons for oak works - The works recommended are due the tree showing signs of stress and decline, with fibre buckling present in the low limb framework.These works are to promote further internal canopy growth with the aim of retaining the tree in a reduced capacity in an area with a high target value, frequently used by young and vulnerable people. It is our intention that the tree will be managed into a veteran state, providing valuable standing habitat whilst minimising risk to users of the site.
