Description
The tree is a very large oak in our back garden. It has not been trimmed for around 7-8 years and is now growing closer to our house, specifically our top floor and is hanging over our conservatory. At the top, it leans towards the house. We would like to bring the height down as much as permitted, since it is now a cause for concern in high windsWe would also like to reduce the side that is nearest the house, to minimise the chance of it causing damage to the property. It already drops small branches on our glass conservatory roof. The bigger concern is any branches that might become damaged in high winds (which we are prone to, being at the top of a hill) and drop onto either the glass roof, or hit the top floor of the house - it has become very close to the upper floor windows to the point where we can almost lean out and touch it. We would also like to remove a few offshoots lower down, on the trunk, within 3-4 feet of the ground, as well as a few of the lower branches in the lower bulk of the tree.Overall, this means we are requesting:- minimum 40% height reduction (preferably 50%) to secure safety of the tree and our house- width reduction, on the side nearest the house, to minimise risk to property- crown lift - pruning of newer offshoots on the lower trunk of the tree, to offset lawn and garden damage to our garden and neighbouring property (number 22)
