Description

The Silver Birch tree is on the front of our property I am requesting permission to reduce the crown of the tree by approximately 5 metres. The tree is located in close proximity to my property and is causing significant loss of natural light to the main living areas and garden.The density and height of the canopy result in prolonged shading throughout the day, which impacts both the enjoyment and practical use of the property. In addition, several branches are now overhanging or approaching within a few metres of the building, creating potential concerns for property damage during high winds or adverse weather.I am not seeking removal of the tree?only a sensitive reduction to maintain its health while ensuring it remains at a safe and reasonable distance from the property and allows more natural light to reach the house and garden.I am happy to instruct a qualified tree surgeon to carry out the work in line with British Standard BS3998:2010 (Tree Work ? Recommendations).
