Application Details
Description
We are submitting this application for the removal of three mature ash trees located to the rear boundary of the property, as annotated on the accompanying site plan (Trees 1, 2, and 3). Each of the trees is approximately 15 metres (50 feet) in height with a crown spread of approximately 6 metres (20 feet). These trees were inspected during a recent site visit by arboricultural consultant James Choat, who advised that a new application should be raised for their removal due to their location within the Paglesham Church End Conservation Area. The trees are in visibly poor condition and are exhibiting clear signs of Ash Dieback (Hymenoscyphus fraxineus), including extensive crown thinning, significant leaf loss, and dieback of branches. Their structural integrity is therefore compromised, and their ongoing decline presents a risk to safety and to the surrounding landscape.Given their deteriorating health and proximity to the property boundary, their continued presence may also pose a risk to neighbouring land and restrict future planting or landscape management efforts. In line with conservation best practices, we propose to remove these trees on both arboricultural and safety grounds. We trust that this application, supported by expert advice and grounded in best practice, meets the conservation objectives and responsible land management expectations of the Local Planning Authority
