Conservation area tree work.The tree is located to the rear of 14-16 South Street, at the north western corner of the rear car park.It is a self seeded ash tree that has grown in a fence gap adjacent to Back Rd car park.It is easily visible for inspection from Back Rd car park.The diameter of the trunk is approx 200mm at 1m above the ground, 10m tall. Estimated age 30 years. The tree is heavily burdened with ivy and is leaning towards the car park. The proposed work is to reduce the hight, remove the ivy and inspect the main trunk. The tree is not listed under a TPO, but is in the conservation area. I would prefer to keep the tree as it provides privacy, but it needs to be reduced and cleaned of ivy, as it may fall into the council car park at the rear.
