Description

This is a mature, formerly pollarded oak tree. Branches are overhanging the property at 11 Polstead Close. It is very close to number 11 and had been cut back on the side bordering the garden prior to Woodland Trust ownership of Wheatley Wood when the housing development was created. Since then, it has started overhanging the property. The photos show that it significantly over hangs the roof of the ground floor kitchen and is also only a couple of feet away from the exterior wall near the main roof. In strong winds twigs and branches fall into the garden.Having inspected the tree ourselves we propose that the tree's health would benefit from a 20% crown reduction. It looks less healthy than a similar mature oak tree on the same road, at 21 Polstead Close, which has benefited from a crown reduction.
