Description

A1- A4; sycamore trees A1 -A3; Triple stemmed sycamore - thin crown by 20% and remove dead wood A4; sycamore - thin crown by 20% and remove dead wood B2 and B4; Leylandi trees - fell to ground level and grind out stumps B3; Bay tree - reshape crown by 1 metre overall creating a uniform shape Yew tree - Boundary of 272 and 270 Kew Road properties - cut back lower hanging growth on 270 Kew Road side which is encroaching on the ground structure. The sycamore tree works are maintenance. The squirrels eat their branches resulting in branches weakening and falling to the ground in winds. Branches have previously fallen into neighbours' garden posing a safety risk. Maintaining the canopy size reduces this safety risk and assists with light. Felling of the Leylandi trees (B2 and B4) and maintaing another 2 Leylandi trees (D) will enable more light into the lower ground floor and raised ground floor flats. Currently the Leylandi closest to the building (B4) completely blocks out the light of the lower flats. The bottom branches are also dead (see attached photo taken from raised ground floor flat front door). These Leylandi are also water loving and therefore it has been a struggle for plants to grow around them. By removing these Leylandi whilst keeping the other 10 large trees (2 Leylandi, 3 sycamore, 1 bay, 2 apples, 1 fig, 1 laburnum) in the garden, ground water levels will remain manageable. The plan is furthermore to plant, minimum 6, further lighter canopied trees that increase the biodiversity of the garden whilst minimising light obstruction.
