Description
T1 Silver Birch: Fell The silver birch has outgrown its planting location near the rear of the house. The tree now presents issues including: Proximity to the building fabric and reduced clearance Increasing shading and dominance to the immediate area Limited space for future structural and root development Ongoing conflict with surrounding structures and garden use Given the restricted space and the species’ poor suitability for long-term containment in close quarters, removal is the most appropriate and sustainable management option. The work is routine within domestic settings where a tree has exceeded the size appropriate for its position. T2 Malus (Apple): Crown Reduction & Selective Removal The apple tree has a low-hanging lateral limb on the left side causing imbalance and obstructing access beneath the canopy. Removing this section will: Restore clear head height Prevent future limb failure due to excessive end-weight Improve access and usability of the garden A 1–2 metre crown reduction to the remaining canopy will: Rebalance the crown after the selective removal Maintain the natural form Promote healthy regrowth Reduce stress on weakened scaffold branches Provide routine seasonal maintenance appropriate for fruit trees This work represents standard arboricultural maintenance to preserve tree health, ensure safety, and maintain amenity value.
