Description
G1. Himalayan Birch x 4 Front Garden: Unfortunately, all the trees have been planted too close to the boundary wall and brick pillars, and are now in danger of damaging the structures. To help prevent these trees from becoming an issue, a tree planting replacement plan would be prudent for longevity and consider replacing them with species that have less aggressive root systems and are planted in a more suitable location, at a distance from the wall and pillars. Suggested Work: Fell in sections to ground level. The tree's current height is 6m, and its crown spread is 3m After the proposed works, the tree's height is 0.0m and the crown spread is 0.0m T2. Walnut Rear Garden: Selectively reduce height and spread by 2m, pruning out the longer sections of the stems, leaving long and natural secondary branches to create a very natural appearance. Remove dead branches throughout the crown area that are over 2.5cm in diameter, and inspect the crown for any adversities. Works to be carried out in July 2026. The tree's current height is 16.5m, and its crown spread is 12m After the proposed works, the tree's height is 14.5m and the crown spread is 10m. T4. Apple Tree Rear Garden: Remove dead, damaged, or diseased wood and reduce new growth back to the previous points (1m height & spread) to the last two buds on new growth. Thin out crossing or rubbing branches: This prevents damage to the bark and reduces the risk of disease. Prune back to an outward-facing bud to encourage new growth to spread away from the centre of the tree. The tree's current height is 4m, and its crown spread is 3.5m After the proposed works, the tree's height is 3m and the crown spread is 2.5m The best pruning times are between November and early March. T5. European Lime Rear Garden: Reduce new growth to previous reduction points (3m Height & spread), retaining good growth furnishings to support crown development. If required, thin the branch structure to help create an even balance. Remove dead branches over 2.5cm in diameter. Inspect the crown for adversities and advise if necessary. The tree's current height is 21m, and its crown spread is 12m After the proposed works, the tree's height is 18m and the crown spread is 9m.
