Description
The trees in question are two and are called Trees of Heaven aka Ailanthus altissima - TO BE REMOVED They are known to be invasive in nature and very quick to grow both in height and in root size. One of them is particularly close to the building and is adjacent to several apartment windows which is our biggest concern. Our gadener has warned us that allowing it to grow more can compromise the structural integrity of the property as well as cause allergies and sensitivities to our residents. Below are a few articles discussing the effect these trees can have on their surroundings: https://www.nature.org/en-us/about-us/where-we-work/united-states/indiana/stories-in-indiana/journey-with-nature--tree-of-heaven/ https://www.pba-solutions.com/japanese-knotweed-news/tree-of-heaven-tree-threatening-uk-ecosystems/ https://environmentcontrols.co.uk/target-weeds/tree-of-heaven-control/#:~:text=The%20tree%20produces%20a%20lot,pavement%2C%20sewers%20and%20building%20foundations.
