T1: Beech tree – Reduce height by 0.5 - 1m through selective thinning, reduce sides by 0.5 - 1m to balance through selective thinning (work to be carried out with a cherry picker to ensure a natural reduction), remove major deadwood Height of tree currently: 12m Spread of tree currently: 6m Height of tree after reduction: 11m Spread of tree after reduction: 5m Reasons for work: - Tree-dwelling squirrels have again been accessing the property and causing damage to the home. This has been an ongoing issue and we have previously been granted permission to help combat this problem. We are now requesting a lesser reduction that will not have a detrimental influence on the health or longevity of this protected tree - The beech tree overhangs 107a Park Road. The resident at 107a uses a wheelchair and tree-dwelling birds are defecating from the beech tree onto his driveway.
