Description

Deconstruction and Replacement of Building facades as Part of the Fire Safety Remedial Works to Waldegrave Road, within the Application Boundary. The proposed works are applicable to all elevations to which external wall types and balconies have been identified. The proposal seeks: The removal of the existing timber cladding and its replacement with a minimum A2 rated cladding product such as Aluminium or Fibre Cement Board to the North, South West and East elevations. The installation of cavity barriers to all vertical, horizontal and around all openings within the new timber replacement facades, to the North, South, West and East Elevations. The removal of the existing timber decking and its replacement with a minimum A2 decking product such as Aluminium or Composite Decking to the South Elevation. Removal of the timber joists and their replacement with steel members to the balconies described above. The local removal and reinstatement of the brick faade around openings only to allow for the installation of cavity barriers in these areas to the North, South, West and East elevations.
