Application Details
Description
Location: Front Garden 1. Horse chestnut. The tree has advanced into further decline since our inspection in 2020, the fungal infection of 'Fomes fomentarius' is causing further stem decay and internal rot. Further to the Picus Decay Test in 2020, the progression of decay and general poor health has been rapid, making the tree now liable to potential failure, given that the tree is proximity to a high-risk pedestrian zone, coupled with, and in, proximity to main highway, I regrettably suggest short term removal of the tree. Fell in sections to ground level. (Tree Height 15m and crown spread 11m) 3. Limes x 4/5 Reduce regrowth back to previous points. (Tree Heights 11m and crown spreads 8m) Lightly raise low canopies to balance, without screen compromise. Remove dead branches. 2m crown reduction in width and 2.5m reduction in height, leaving a canopy spread of 9m and height of 8.5m. 4. Silver Birch Lightly reduce back low overhang to Tortoise run/home by 1m. (Tree Height 7m and crown spread 5m) leaving crown spread at 4m 5. Swedish Whitebeam Lightly reduce back low overhang to Tortoise run/home by 1m. (Tree Height 5m and crown spread 5m) leaving crown spread at 4m 6. Robinia 'Frisia' Reduce height by 2m and shape spread by 1m to balance crown (Tree Height 9m and crown spread 5m) leaving crown spread at 4m and height at 7m.
