Description

Oak tree: reduced by 50% , carrying out veteranisation pruning 'a technique whereby younger trees are 'damaged' in a way which may speed up the process of production of the valuable habitats' the owner of the tree is keen to promote more habitat diversity with in the garden. The tree has been pruned previously but the reduction would be greater this time, reducing limbs up to 4.5m. Height at present 18m height after works 13.5m . spread at present 17m, spread after works 11m. After the works the tree will be used as a test subject and monitored any increase in the biodiversity.
