Description

G2: Beech group of 4 individuals. Height 15m, radial spread 10m biased to the east over access drive. Large deadwood throughout the crowns with apical dieback. Multiple defects consistant with squirrel damage, rubbing branches and general damage to cambium. History of whole limb failure. Basal cavities noted on 2 trees and honey fungus noted in the grass area approximately 2m from the base of the trees on the south west side. Recommended works: Crown reduce all trees in the group by up to 2.5m in height and spread and remove major deadwood to leave more compact and manageable crowns less prone to premature failure.
