Tree survey: T001:Species: Quercus Robur (Common Oak) Dimensions: Height - 21m. Lower canopy height 5m. Canopy North: 6m, East: 6m, South: 9m, West: 9m. Stem diameter 1.2m (estimated). Life stage - mature. Survey notes: Main trunk divides at 4m. Trunk diameter estimated due to fences and Ivy. No cavities visible in main stem. No fungal fruiting bodies visible. Canopy has been trimmed away from the flats to the north in the past and then regrown to current extents. The canopy overhangs the roof, and branch tips are approximately 1m away from the roof. There is a long branch extending to the west which is end loaded. Ivy on main stem and throughout crown, this hinders inspection. Recommended tree surgery works: Sever Ivy at base and allow to die off to aid future inspection. Remove Deadwood. Reduce canopy to a line 1.5m offset from flats located to the north of tree. Reduce long branch on west side overhanging neighbouring garden from 9m to 7m. Reduce canopy at south from 9m to 7.5m.T002: Species: Fraxinus Excelsior (Ash) Dimensions: Height - 20m. Lower canopy height 7m over garden, 3m over neighbouring gardens. Canopy North: 7.5m, East: 8m, South: 10m, West: 7m. Stem diameter 1m (estimated). Life stage mature. Survey notes: Stem diameter estimated at the base due to fences and Ivy. Twin stem from ground level with western stem then dividing into two. Inspection of union at base hindered due to fences, undergrowth and Ivy. Ivy on trunk and throughout crown. Dieback and deadwood throughout crown consistent with Ash dieback disease. Affected canopy approximately 10-20%. Canopy weighted to south. End weighted branches hang low over neighbouring garden to the northeast. Recommended tree surgery works: Sever Ivy at base and allow to die off to aid future inspection. Remove Deadwood. Reduce/remove branches with dieback overhanging property to northeast. Reduce canopy at south from 10m to 7m to rebalance crown (As required).
