Description
T1 Whitebeam Ornamental tree planted by previous owners. It is hanging over the drive and is very close to 25 Gatton Road. It has overgrown its location and needs maintaining.Crown reduction. Reducing the height and spread of the tree by up to 3 metres. All pruning cuts shall be made to suitable secondary growth points and shall maintain a stable platform for the expected growth. Height pre 12m post 9m. Crown spread pre 9m post 6mT2 ?Sycamore Blocks a huge amount of light into the garden. By September, the tree blocks the light into a lot of the back garden. All the trees and shrubs underneath this tree have now died and had to be removed. It overhangs the greenhouse too (which has been there for twenty years plus) and is causing risk to this structure, and due to lack of light, can only be used for storage now. The vegetable garden alongside can also no longer be used due to the lack of light. More light will encourage diversity of trees, shrubs and plants, encourage more wildlife and enable us to landscape this area properly. This tree was reduced in 2014, and it was approved by the Council stating that it would not affect loss of visual amenity. It has grown significantly since then. This area could be landscaped again, and our suggestion is to replace the tree with Cherry Trees or Camelias - more suitable for the location, complement the garden, attract honeybees and wildlife, and provide wider visual amenity, however we would welcome the Councils views on replacement trees. Works to be done - Carefully climb and dismantle to ground level using ropes and lowering equipment as necessary. T3 Field Maple Has significant decay in the basal area and ivy wrapped around the tree and branches.
