Description

Oak tree - Reduce the crown height by 2.75m and reduce that lateral spread by shortening branches by 2m. Many years ago this tree has been subjected to severe pruning work that created large wounds that could not heal. Water has ingressed over the years leading to the development of internal decay in the limbs and main trunk. I am attaching photos of some of the wounds as evidence. The tree wobbles in a very brittle manner. Electronic or mechanical testing is not necessary because it can only show us what experience and knowledge has already made to be obvious. The reason for this proposal is for safety and to preserve the tree on site for hopefully several more years.
