Description

Removal of two ash trees with advanced ash die back disease, on the boundary of Apple Acre and Chipstead Meads Recreation Ground. Both trees overhang the Meads and in the opinion of the arboricuturalist we have consulted, their worsening condition presents an ever increasing danger to people walking into the recreation area via the near by pedestrian entrance and he advises complete removal of the trees to the ground. The trees currently form part of a hedge at the back of the property, mainly made up of hawthorn and holly. The hedge will remain and removal of the ash trees will give opportunity for existing hedge plants to fill out.
