Description

Upgrade of Milton-under-Wychwood Sewage Treatment Works (STW), comprising of the replacement of existing Hydrobrake in the inlet balancing tank to pass forward the new FtFT 46 l/s; new Hydrobrake outlet pipework approximately 1 m above ground level, new ferric sulphate chemical dosing (6 m in length, 3 m in width, 3 m in height), new piled supports for chemical storage tank, new Motor Control Centre (MCC) (10.4 m in length, 3.5 in width and 3.4 m in height), new Tertiary Solids Removal (TSR) Plant consisting of two Pile Cloth Filter units, new TSR access road, new TSR feed (duty standby) pump station, new below ground TSR feed pipework, new piled supports for the TSR, new double pump washwater booster set, new below ground cable ducts and drawpits, new drainage; the modification of weirs in the Primary Settlement Tanks (PST) distribution chamber, PST 1 and PST v-notch weirs, weirs in the Biofilter 1,2,3 and 4 distribution chamber; the replacement of inlet flume channel, below ground flume channel outlet pipework, below ground PST 2 outlet pipework, below ground Biofilter 4 distribution chamber outlet pipework, the replacement of existing pole mounted transformer with the DNO to feed the increased electrical load; the decommissioning of existing reed beds; the relocation of below ground return liquors discharge pipework and above ground monitoring equipment.
