Description

Amendments to the approved junction design, including: - a new dedicated right turn lane into Rob Lane - a reduction of the central island at the northern tip to accommodate the dedicated right turn lane and to facilitate access/egress to Baulker Farm - a new splitter island on the A614 to the north of Rob Lane, complete with illuminated bollards and beacon - bollards to close the gap in the central reserve to vehicles whilst maintaining access for cyclists - widening of the existing splitter island on the A614 where the existing carriageway widens to two lanes heading northbound - this will narrow the carriageway of the A614 and reduce vehicle speeds approaching the merge with vehicles from the A6097 - resurfacing of the carriageway along the A614 and parts of the junction with the A6097 - installation of new road signs and road markings.
