Description

T1 Ash This tree is located on the edge of the woodland leaning towards the busy public footpath, where if it fails will fall on the path. We are proposing to dismantle and remove the above pictured Ash, It has a fungal disease on it called Inonotus Hispidus. Inonotus hispidus, commonly known as the Shaggy Bracket or Shaggy Polypore, is a fungus that frequently appears on ash trees. It's a white-rot fungus that decomposes wood, particularly the heartwood, causing it to weaken and become brittle. While it's a natural part of the ecosystem, its presence on ash trees can pose a safety risk, especially in urban environments, due to the potential for branch or stem failure.TPO Ref: W1 TPO/00002/15
