Description
T3 lime: Pollard the large lime located in front of the property. Final height to be approximately 6m. Reason: Tree has extensive rotting to the trunk and branches, and is under attack by honey fungus. Consulting arborist considers options are (a) felling or (b) pollarding; pollarding will save the tree and extend its life cycle. The tree fall radius extends to the property, boundary wall and public right of way. Pollarding will practically eliminate the risk of wind-driven natural falling, and save the tree; T4 sweet chestnut: Prune the large sweet chestnut located in front of the property. Crown clean to remove rubbing, crossing, dead, dying and diseased branches. Reduce back from neighbouring property. Shorten laterals by up to 2.5m. Reason: Tree has been previously pollarded est. 20 years ago. Neighbouring property (1 The Heights) is concerned substantial branches radiating at an angle from previous pollard sites threaten the property and public right of way. Arborist also identified dead and dying high branches and recommends cutting back and removal of crossing and rubbing branches.
