Application Details
Description
T1 & T2 - Large mature Hornbeam trees on the right side boundary of the property. To be crown reduced by 2-3 meters to leave a well balanced shape and allow a 2-3 meter clearance to the property. All branches to be cut to the nearest available growth point. T3 - Large mature sycamore tree on front boundary of the property located between the fence and garage. To be crown reduced by 2-3 meters to leave a well balanced shape. All branches to be cut to the nearest available growth point. Cutting to a growth point will help to keep a natural shape and promote formation of healthy secondary growth. The works on all 3 trees will reduce excessive shading and increase light to the property. We have been advised it will improve structural integrity by placing less mechanical stress on the tree - T3 has had previous branch removal on one side by the electricity board due to cables which has left the tree completely out of balance placing more weight on one side which needs to be addressed. The trees will also benefit from improved health by eliminating dry and broken branches, this will in turn reduce the number of falling branches into the garden, roof, garage and driveway. The number of broken branches falling is increasing and fallen branches are sometimes in excess of 2 meters.
