Description

T1 Poplar Remove limb overhanging rear garden of Primrose close to the last bundle of growth leaving approx. 6ft long section from the main stem. According to the maps provided by the local planning authority the tree falls outside the restricted area so any work to this tree shouldn't need permission but I have been advised to make a application by the Tree officer. Applicant is extremely worried about the over extended limb which stretches out as far as the neighbouring property. Extremely over extended and with this dry weather we've been having I have witnessed a number of large limbs becoming brittle and failing due to the weight and winds we've been having. A number of large cavities below the union on the main stem with possible signs of decay, one is also bleeding causing black staining. Poplar can severely damage footings to properties and is such a large tree for such a built up area. Removing this limb would stunt growth and would rebalance the tree. One branch has already failed and is currently hanging dangerously low over the applicants garden where her children play. A major limb has been removed from the back of the tree causing it to be more unbalanced than it was before and has set president for this type of remedial work to be carried out.
