Application Details
Description
T1 Oak Tree (Fallen / Suspended)A fallen oak is currently suspended and resting within an adjacent tree. There are clear signs of decay present at the base of the stem, indicating structural failure. Due to the unstable nature of the tree and the risk of further collapse, it is recommended that this hazard is removed to make the area safe.T2 Oak Tree (Partially Split Limb) - Limb 1A large limb has partially split approximately 1 metre from the main stem and has naturally subsided onto a lower branch. The limb is approximately 12 metres in length. The proposed method is to progressively remove weight from the distal end of the limb until movement is observed and the limb begins to lift. At this stage, the limb will be cleanly cut back to the nearest suitable growth point. It is difficult to determine the exact extent of reduction prior to commencing works; however, there are several healthy growth points at approximately 8 metres from the main stem, which would be the intended final pruning point where practicable.T2 Oak Tree (Decaying Limb Over Driveway) - limb 2A further large limb is showing visible signs of decay extending from approximately 0.5 metres to 2 metres from the main stem. While there is evidence of compartmentalisation, the overall length of the limb (approximately 14 metres) and its position over the main driveway present an ongoing risk.It is recommended that the limb is reduced in length to approximately 9?10 metres, or back to the closest suitable growth point, to reduce end weight and minimise the risk of failure.
