Application Details
Description
Ash (tree 1 on sketch) in rear garden of the property, request to fell and replace with 1 silver birch in a similar position in the garden. Tree in question is within 5 meters of the newly erected garage and 10 meters of the newly erected house. The proximity of the tree to the property is causing concerns over the roots invading/damaging our patio, fenceand in the worst case our foundations. The previous tree officer report dated August 2023 states that tree is of very limited merit and in an impairedcondition showing early stages of ash dieback disease. The arboricultural report conducted states that the tree hasno value and low quality, is expected to die within the next 10years. When tree has been reviewed tree officer and tree surgeons noted that tree looks to have previously felled and regrown in the direction of the garage.Initially the tree was placed under a woodlands tree preservation order to protect the landscape, this landscapehowever has been altered already since houses have now been built.
