Description

The works will involve clearing vegetation to make 5 access routes off the existing bridleway approximately 1.5 to 2m wide to allow access to 5 CPT boreholes. As discussed during the site visit with the North East Lincolnshire Council tree officer to minimise damage to vegetation a small tracked rig will be used for the work, details of the plant to be used is attached.The intention where possible will be to trim back trees including overhanging branches to a maximum of approximately 2.5 m high and clear surface vegetation using a flail as attached or hand held equipment such as strimmer/bush cutter.The attached figure shows proposed work areas and access routes.Vegetation clearance at each location will be approx 5x5m and the locations will be microsited in consultation with the LPA tree officer as required in order to minimise damage to mature trees and any underground utilities. Due to the low level of clearance of understorey and the potential for rapid natural regeneration within the woodland no replacement planting is proposed at this stage.
