Application Details
Description
T238 Oak - Remove low hanging branch, as pictured, to prevent unauthorised climbing of the tree. Conifer (Near T242) - Fell to ground level. This is a non-native tree that is showing signs of distress with deteriorating needle density. Its presence is preventing light for entering the woodland floor and allowing other trees in the vicinity to flourish. T250 Bay Laurel - Fell to ground level. This tree has a large crown and reduces light levels within the woodland area and sight lines for the supervision of pupils. The school wishes to improve sight lines across the meadow for pupil supervision. T266 would then also be able to flourish as it will have more space and light. T263 & T267 Hazel - Raise crowns to 3m above ground level to allow for safe pedestrian movement under the trees and help prevent unauthorised climbing of the trees. The crowns are hanging low and by raising them it will give better sight lines across the meadow for the supervision of pupils. T269 Oak & T270 Beech - Raise crowns to 3m above ground level by pruning secondary and tertiary branches up to a maximum diameter of 10 cm only. To allow for safe pedestrian movement under the trees and prevent unauthorised climbing of the trees. T271 (A-F) - Beech (group) - Raise crown to 3m above ground level by pruning secondary and tertiary branches up to a maximum diameter of 10 cm only. To allow for safe pedestrian movement under the tree and prevent unauthorised climbing of the tree. Remove lower limb as shown in photo T271(2). T283 Oak - Fell to ground level. This tree is growing at a 45-degree angle near to a boundary fence where soil erosion is occurring and will become top heavy if not cut down.
