Description

Replace modern tiles in one fireplace with plaster and Dorset limestone. In the other fireplace, replace the cosmetic fire grate and false back with a functional open fire, (modern tiles partially removed). Create permanent access hatches into roof voids, install lateral strengthening timbers. (Small apertures already created for structural inspection) Remove concrete screed that has been laid over quarry tiles. Repair cracked wall in north west corner of the building. Requirement for underpinning TBC. Prop internal wall, remove rotten timbers and reconstruct wall footings, re-plaster with traditional lime plaster. Remove plasterboard and loose plaster from front room, repair walls and re-plaster with traditional lime plaster. (Plasterboard and loose plaster already removed)
