Description

Tree work around power lines on behalf of SSE to maintain safe clearance: Site 1 - The old East Dorset office at Furzehill. Woodland TPO, ref. EDDC/CO/179. Point A - Ash with dieback - monolith at 4m. Point B - Laurel - trim to gain a 4m clearance. Site 2 - Burts Hill Point A - Burts Hill / Merrifield Colehill Conservation Area. Hedge - reduce to gain a 4m clearance. Point B - Burts Hill / Merrifield Colehill Conservation Area and protected by TPO ref. EDDC/CO/160 - tree T27. Oak - prune back by 1m to gain 4m clearance. Site 3 - Greenhill Road Point A - Burts Hill / Merrifield Colehill Conservation Area. Birch - pruning to the main trunk to gain a 4m clearance. There are also saplings under the pole that need felling. Site 4 - Wood near St Michael's School Colehill Points are in or very close to Burts Hill / Merrifield Colehill Conservation Area. Point A - large Beech which is non-compliant to the lines - 1.5m away - remove if allowed. Point B - 2x dead Oak trees - fell. Point C - dead Birch and a dying Ash (dieback) - fell. Point D, E and F - additional trees that need pruning to maintain the safety clearance required.
