T1 - Ash - EITHER Fell for management, OR Prune back to suitable pruning points, to achieve a height of not less than 11m measured from ground level, and radial canopy spread of not less than 5m in any one direction measured out from the stem - as per broken CYAN lines on plan and image 2 in supporting tree survey information. Reasons: Diseased, with progressive decline in vitality. Infected with ash dieback disease, which after monitoring over two growing seasons is judged to be progressive. Reduction pruning (previously approved & undertaken in 2012) has been considered as an option above, but with [progressive] ash dieback a factor, removal & replacement with a new native species tree at this stage is much preferable to the applicants. Replacement planting: EITHER 1 No Small leafed lime 'Rancho' OR 1 no. field maple 'Elsrijik’ or ‘Street Wise’ Stock size: 180-240cm/25l high quality container grow. To be planted in location indicated on tree location plan (3m from T1 along south-eastern boundary).
