T1 - Acer - Remove. This work is necessary for two reasons: 1. The tree has grown to a height considerably above the roof line placing my home at risk and means that it contravenes the requirements of my current home insurance. This is made very clear on the image supplied. 2. When in leaf it significantly impacts the amount of natural light entering the property - as I have a home-office (2nd window from the left), put in place at the start of the pandemic, it means I'm having to use internal lighting to see to work. The unnecessary burning of electricity has both a personal financial impact and on the and environment. The removal of the tree will provide a permanent solution - I did consider cutting back the tree but I feel this would leave it unsightly and provide only a temporary solution. There is a second tree in the front lawn and more than sufficient shrubbery at the rear of the property for wildlife/birds. For that reason I would have no plans to replace the tree - again, replacing the tree would provide no more than a temporary solution.
