Description

Tree work: T1 Magnolia - Remove two small primary branches to main stem at 0.5m. Prune back shoots growing close to overhead cables to give a clearance of 0.5-1m retaining a natural shape to the crown. T2 Magnolia grandiflora - Prune back selected branches to suitable side shoots to encourage new shoots to sprout on the branches and stem in order to train the crown to be more linearly-orientated along the wall. Work will proceed carefully in order that the shape of the tree is not ruined. Other work being carried out (for information): S1 Griselinea littoralis - The bushes should be initially cut back to contain them within an acceptable area and then trimmed annually to maintain them at this size. S2 Pyracantha coccinea - The shrub should be pruned back from the edge of paving to give a clearance of approximately 300mm horizontally from the paving that is used as a path. Also, the topmost shoots should be pruned back to give a clearance of 0.5-1.0m from the overhead cables. See Treecall Report TP/78023/SC.
