Description

Proposed alterations to existing main dwellinghouse in the form of; the construction of a side extension and front porch, the refurbishment of the existing rear utility structure, and the replacement of the two bay windows within the principal elevation. Permission is also sought for the demolition and reconstruction of the existing subterranean garage structure with the addition of a side extension, replacement roof and the addition of an approximately 1.1m high glazed screening atop the resultant structure. The application also seeks consent to increase the height of the existing retaining wall fronting the main dwellinghouse by approximately 40cm, the works for which would include back filling the area behind the retaining wall to create a level finish. The retaining wall would be topped with an approximately 1m high means of enclosure. Finally, this application seeks retrospective consent for the construction of pillars and fencing atop the existing retaining wall adjacent to the highway, as well as the construction of two sets of steps leading to the tiered garden areas.
