Description

A container-barn is proposed to provide a covered processing and packing area for our horticultural business, secure storage, and a site office. This comprises of two offset 20ft shipping containers, one of which will be converted to a site office, with an off-the-shelf PVC canopy covering the space between, so producing a 6m x 6m covered barn area. The canopy will be 4.4m high at the ridge. The total floor area of the combined structure is 6.06m x 10.88m.We will also be constructing two polytunnels, each 7.3m x 25.8m. These will be 3.38m high at the ridge. The container barn and polytunnels will be serviced by a stone track connecting them to the existing site access. This track will be 2.7m wide and will run for 20m in the south-easterly direction and 40m in the south-westerly direction, forming a t-junction for turning vehicles. The container barn will sit on a stone hardstanding of 15.8m x 9m.
