Yew: : I have consulted with two tree surgeons. They have recommended a 30% reduction to the crown of the tree and selective pruning in the tree to remove upwards growing branches from the trunk and improve habitat/ecosystems services provided by the tree (creating denser and more compact nesting habitat for birds and invertebrates).
