We would like to know if we require planning permission to erect and 4m (width) x3m(depth)x2.5m(height) free standing pergola in our garden, the pergola will be situated about 1m-2m from the boundary. It will be located on the back of our garage which has recently been approved to be converted into additional accommodation application (DM/2023/00302 ). The area is currently garden and will remain a garden area but the pergola will provide a shaded area.
