Description

Early mature Ash tree (Fraxinus excelsior) with category 4 dieback requires felling in owners garden, due to safety concerns. Tree has two major leader stems which are entirely dead. Tree is situated in the bottom corner of garden, and overhangs an adjoining field (to the north), and an area of undergrowth (to the west) belonging to the neighbouring property (The Raglan Arms Pub). The proposed work is to dismantle tree leaving the stem as a monolith at 5 metres high for habitat. The brash will be processed by a woodchipper and the logs cut and seasoned by owner for firewood.
