Application Details
Description
T1 Yew - Fell to ground level Reason: The tree is an historic wind blown tree, with significant root damage and root decay on the exposed roots following its initial fall, the tree canopy is now very sparse due to the limited amount of rooting area available to sustain the trees size. It has tried to put on adaptive growth over the years, which has added to the canopy size & additional weight and the tree has started to lean further to the point of a further collapse, possible to ground level in the near future, which has added to the residents concern as the rear garden is a well used family area, so the target area is quite high. The tree has limited visual amenity from outside of the rear garden, due to the surrounding trees and small woodland copse to the rear, so its removal will have minimal impact on the surround tree cover.
