T1 - English oak - Remove deadwood 25mm - Reason for work: The proposed works are to remove deadwood from the tree to improve safety and overall tree management. The presence of dead branches within the canopy presents a foreseeable risk of failure, particularly during adverse weather conditions, which could result in falling debris and potential harm to persons or property below. T3 - Sweet gum - Crown reduction by up to 2 metres in height and spread - Reason for work: The proposed works are to carry out a crown reduction of approximately 2 metres in height and spread of the Sweet Gum tree. This recommendation follows the recent failure of a live limb which caused damage to the roof of the adjacent building, indicating an increased risk associated with the current crown structure. The reduction aims to remove end-weight from extended limbs, thereby reducing mechanical stress and the likelihood of further branch failure. This will help to improve the tree’s overall structural balance and reduce risk to the nearby property.
