Description

To carry out external works of alteration to the Martin Luther King Jr building including erection of a new entrance pavilion, a glazed roof lantern over the atrium and installation of a glazed pedestrian link bridge at first floor level to connect into the Hartley Pavilion. The reconfiguration of rooftop plant area with new external plant and new external doors to west elevation. Proposed external works of alteration to the Hartley Pavilion include a new glazed vestibule to the main entrance (north elevation), new glazed entrance vestibule to south elevation, new rooflight to the lecture theatre, alterations to the windows (replacement glazing, transoms and gaskets to curtain walling on south elevation). Reconfiguration of rooftop plant area with new external plant and associated works. Internal alterations to both buildings in connection with the remodelling and refurbishment of the museums including removal of fabric to form new entrances, voids, vertical circulation, risers, rooflights, new partitions and associated works
