Description

Non material change application to planning approval LA05/2021/0504/F: Construction of an additional emergency escape ramp to the new Belfast-bound platform. The additional escape route will be fully contained within the owner's land, with access provided off the back of the proposed new platform and connecting back onto the new DDA-compliant primary ramp proposed near the Cutt's. It is proposed that the ramp is only accessed in emergency scenarios, with gates, signage and suitable CCTV measures provided. It is also proposed to shift the proposed entrance to the back of the new Belfast-bound platform for both the top of steps and ramp access by one bay (precast platform bay) towards the south / Kingsway road. No additional lighting is proposed as sufficient coverage is envisaged from the approved plans. Minor associated changes to the Landscaping plan are proposed to accommodate the location of the additional ramp, with 1No. proposed tree relocated (no change to overall number of trees proposed) with hedge extents updated to accommodate the ramp.
