Reason: for 4m clearance from front left corner of the propertyFRONT: ONE Wisteria (C1)(ht.2.8m) FELL (exempt works).Reason: The tree works are proposed to stop the influence of the tree(s) on the soil below building foundation level and provide long term stability.Informative A: huge thanks that the front hedge is being retained for urban greening benefits and for wildlife, to reduce increasingly high prolonged temperatures due to climate change, and for flood mitigation but disappointed that hydrangea (SG1) removal not being considered first, before felling the Eucalyptus or that underpinning the bay is not being considered as the long-term solution to the structural issue which is confined to the right-hand side of the front two storey bay windows with no cracks at ground level; site investigation does not appear conclusive on cause of damage, with level monitoring showing most movement at left-hand side of the bay, foundations of the bay depth 700mm are below current guidelines for clay soils, hydrangea roots to 1.8m, soil not desiccated, water ingress/penetration into cellar not addressed, historic distortions and previous episode in 2009. Informative B: replacement tree planting is encouraged to restore streetscape amenity, which could be from the NHBC low water demand tree list which includes birch, elder, hazel, laburnum, magnolia, mulberry, holly, fig. as the Arboricultural report considers replacement planting appropriate (p.2). Informatives C: please create habitat log piles with arisings for wildlife and biodiversity.
