REAR: ONE Copper beech (T1)(ht.10-12m) FELL. Reason: to let more light into the property, structural issues with adjacent building.Informative A: before carrying out the proposed tree removal, the drain repairs are encouraged, and details of foundation depth, soil analysis, root identification, and the nature of the building structural issue obtained, to ascertain if the beech tree is causing the building structural issue, to avoid unnecessary felling, loss of amenity, wildlife and environmental benefits. Lateral reduction of branches would improve the light issue. Informative B: should it be proved the beech is causing subsidence and no alternative mitigation available, replacement tree planting is encouraged elsewhere in the grounds for amenity, wildlife and shade to reduce increasingly high summer temperatures due to climate change.
