FRONT: TWO Trachycarpus Fortunei (ht.4-5m) FELL. Reasons: one is dying, they are non-indigenous and have far outgrown what was originally expected. The trees will be replaced by a magnolia tree in one location and some smaller shrubbery in the other location.Informative A: huge thank you for replacement with a Magnolia tree and other shrubs for streetscape amenity, wildlife and to reduce high summer temperatures due to climate change, please ensure ample watering to establish. Informative B: depaving is encouraged to enlarge the tree pits to improve the rooting environment for the replacement planting. Informative C: a second replacement tree is encouraged with such as crab apple, winter flowering cherry, elder, guelder rose, Chinese redbud (Cercis chinensis), spiketail (Stachyurus praecox), wayfaring tree (Viburnum lantana).
