REAR: ONE Eucalyptus tree (T1) Ht 12.5m Spread 8m FELL.REASON: The tree is in an inappropriate location overhanging the railway. CA permission was granted 2 years ago for a reduction, ref DC/24/134788, which was applied for when a previous resident lived at the property. This work was not carried out. We and the current resident think it prudent to remove this tree, taking into account the fact that the railway will have to be closed every time it needs to be worked on, at great expense to the resident. It will also pose a hazard to the railway lines if allowed to continue growing.Informative A: repeat low pollard management to ht.3m to retain some urban greening or to plant a replacement tree for amenity, wildlife and shade to reduce increasingly high summer temperatures due to climate change is encouraged.Informative B: replacement tree encouraged, species such as hawthorn, common pear, crab apple, elder, Alder buckthorn, whitebeam, hazel, field maple, holly.
